Arsenal striker Robin van Persie will sit out Wednesday's Champions League tie at Villarreal with a groin injury, the London club said on Monday.
The Dutchman missed the weekend's 2-0 win over Manchester City and manager Arsene Wenger told the Gunners' official site that he has excluded him from the quarter-finals clash.
Croatian forward Eduardo is also ruled out, which means that Arsenal only have Emmanuel Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner available upfront, as Andrei Arshavin is cup-tied.
However, wide men Theo Walcott and Samir Nasri are set to shrug off knee and flu problems respectively and should travel with the squad.
