Egyptian striker Emad Meteb was stretchered-off his team's Asian Champions League 0-0 draw against Jazeera of Emirates on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old had to be replaced by Nayef Al-Hazzazi midway through the first half after he couldn’t recover from a tackle by Brazilian defender Rosario.

Meteb was rushed off to hospital even before the game ended.

The Saudis were lucky to come out of the clash with a point, as Al-Jazeera should have scored on more than one occasion.

Ittihad are now top of their AFC Champions League group with seven points, while Jazeera are third on two points.
