Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said that his team were taught a hard lesson by Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League quarter final first-leg.

Barcelona beat Bayern 4-0 at Nou Camp on Wednesday, in a game where the Bavarians were totally outclassed by the Spanish giants.

"I do not want to beat about the bush, this was definitely a big disgrace. It was a performance that is out of the question," the former Germany start told Premiere.

"I honestly can't say what I'm feeling. I don’t know if I'm more shocked, more disappointed or angry about what we saw."

The Barca defeat comes to add to Bayern's woes in the Bundesliga. However, Rummenigge confirmed that no hasty decisions will be taken regarding the club's future.

"We have to keep cool at this point in time and not strip the thread too hard, especially by not making any significant decision concerning the sporting aspects."

After last weekend's 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Wolfsburg, Bayern are currently fourth in the Bundesliga.
