Serie A leaders Inter Milan gave away two points after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Palermo at San Siro on Saturday.

The Nerazzurri failed to preserve their two-goal lead from the first half, thanks to goals from Mario Balotelli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (penalty).

The visitors came back after the break to cancel out Inter's goals through Edinson Cavani and Davide Succi.

Inter remain top with 73 points, ten ahead of closest rivals Juventus, who meet Genoa later on Saturday. Inter and Juve clash next weekend.

Roma Derby

At Stadio Olimpico, Lazio beat city rivals Roma 4-2 in a match that witnessed three red cards, apart from the six-goal thriller.

Lazio were 2-0 up within the opening four minutes, courtesy of goals from Goran Pandev and Mauro Zarate.

French defender Philippe Mexes pulled one back for the Giallorossi in the 10th minute, but Stephan Lichtsteiner restored Lazio's two-goal cushion on 58 minutes.

One minute after the hour mark, Roma were reduced to ten men as veteran defender Christian Panucci saw red for a second bookable offence.

In the 76th minute, Mexes followed Panucci to the dressing room after a scuffle with Lazio's Matuzalem, who also received his marching orders in the process.

Daniele De Rossi reduced the deficit again for the nine-man Roma with an 80th minute header, but Aleksander Kolarov wrapped up the victory for the Biancocelesti five minutes from time.
