AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani rubbished reports linking the club with a move for Inter's out-of-favor striker Adriano.

Inter are considering annulling the Brazilian's contract after he failed to report back to his club following international duty.

Adriano said he would remain in his homeland to rethink his career after losing the desire to play.

Speculation suggested that Inter's arch-rivals Milan would seize the opportunity to acquire the 27-year-old's services but Galliani said the Rossoneri had no interest in the player.

"Nobody here has ever thought about Adriano," he told reporters on Thursday.

"Milan have nothing to do with the Adriano situation - it is an internal matter for Inter to resolve.

"I won't talk about the market until the end of the season. I have clear ideas in my head, but I won't be discussing them."
