Telecom Egypt continued their revival under coach Hossam Hassan after claiming a last-gasp 1-0 victory Arab Contractors in the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday.

Towering midfielder Ahmed Omran, who has been linked with a return to Zamalek, converted a penalty deep into stoppage time to hand Telecom a precious win.

Telecom, who have lost just twice since former Egypt striker Hassan took over in March, remained third from bottom on 28 points.

They kept alive their hopes of surviving relegation though as only one point separates them from 13th-placed Asyut Petroleum, who stayed in the safety zone after defeating Ghazl Mahalla 1-0.

Defender Sherif Hazem notched what proved to be the winner in the 75th minute.
