A brace from David Villa and a strike by Pablo Hernandez secured Valencia's win in the game where Sevilla were demoted to ten men following Adriano's dismissal.
Following the game, Sevilla coach Manolo Jiminez said that his team could have won the game if it wasn’t for the Brazilian's sending-off.
"We were inferior to Sevilla maybe only for the first quarter of an hour, but soon after we were able to contain them. In the second half, we were superior to them," said Emery.
Both Villa and Joaquin were taken off in the second-half, and Emery added that he could understand why they weren't happy about getting off the pitch.
"It is something normal and natural and I understand their anger. When I was a player, I got upset too when I was replaced."
The win was Valencia's fourth in a row, lifting Los Ches to fourth spot in the Liga table.
"We have reclaimed our confidence, but we also know that it can be lost just like that. We must continue to fight to maintain a level of consistency," the coach concluded.
