The 24-year-old midfielder scored a superb first goal during Barca's 4-0 thrashing of Sevilla on Wednesday, before setting up the other three strikes.
"Whenever Iniesta steps on to the pitch, he creates a spectacle. He is the best player in the world," Eto'o told Barcelona's official website after the game.
Iniesta has been an integral part of Barca's current campaign, scoring four times and helping the team compete for the league, Spanish cup and the UEFA Champions League.
Staying Cool
Barcelona's win over Sevilla means the club are six points ahead of Real Madrid on top of the league table prior to the two teams' Classico on May 3rd.
The Catalans have the chance to seal the title if they beat Real at Santiago Bernabeu. However, Eto'o played down prospects of winning the league in Madrid.
"It does not worry me where we win La Liga, the only thing that matter is to win it," the Cameroon man added.
"Our purpose is to improve ourselves in every game and we are already achieving that."
