Ahli's out-of-favor striker Ahmed Belal said he on Thursday that he intends to leave the club in the summer.

"I can't wait till my contract ends in January next year, I should leave in the summer because (coach) Manuel Jose still snubs me for no reason," Belal told Modern Sport.

The 28-year-old lost patience with Jose after being left out of Ahli's squad for the Cairo derby against Zamalek, which ended goalless.

The Portuguese tactician once again opted to field Angolan international Flavio Amado as a lone striker.

"I don't know why I wasn't included in the match's squad. I took permission to leave the training camp for one hour yesterday but it seems that Jose did not like that," Belal added.

Belal has been playing a peripheral role since returning to Ahli in the summer of 2007 after ending a Turkish spell with Konyaspor.

The once-Egyptian international, who is used mainly as a substitute, scored three league goals so far this season.
