The up-and-coming wide man was impressive in the first half of Thursday's game, which ended in a goalless draw, and could have broken the deadlock more than once.
After being named the man of the match by the league sponsor, Emam was over the moon.
"I'm really happy with that award, especially that I won it for my first Cairo derby participation," the promising player told Zamalek's official website.
Recently-promoted Emam paid tribute to his teammates, who also won widespread praise after the game.
"I think the rest of Zamalek players were also incredible against Ahli," the 20-year-old added.
Emam had no problem feinting past Ahli defenders in the first half of the game, but none of his threatening crosses were diverted home.
The youngster was taken off after the restart when he suffered a stabbing pain in his thigh, according to Zamalek assistant coach Sami Al-Sheshini.
On the other hand, Ahli guardian Ramzi Saleh was chosen as the best keeper in the pulsating encounter.
