Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri decided to impose an EGP 25,000 fine on out-of-favor striker Ahmed Belal for releasing 'inappropriate' statements about his desire to leave the Red Devils.

According to the Cairo giants' official website, the 29-year-old ignored the coaching staff's directives about not making such statements to the press.

"I will always uphold our strict policy, regardless of the consequences," Al-Badri commented on the sanction.

The former Konyaspor man had voiced his dissatisfaction over his status as a substitute after Ahli's scoreless draw with Zamalek on Thursday.

"I can't wait till my contract ends in January next year, I should leave in the summer because (coach) Manuel Jose still snubs me for no reason," he told Modern Sport.

Belal lost patience with the Portuguese tactician when he once again opted to field Angolan international Flavio Amado as a lone striker.

"I don't know why I wasn't included in the match's squad. I took permission to leave the training camp for one hour yesterday but it seems that Jose did not like that," the beleaguered player added.
