Soliman ends Saudi adventure
Egyptian midfielder Walid Soliman is set to return to Petrojet after Ahli Jeddah decided not to extend his loan contract, the Saudi club said.

The 24-year-old finished a four-month loan spell in Jeddah, which apparently did not impress Ahli's officials.

In an Ahli board meeting on Monday, several decisions were made regarding the team's plans for next season, following a disappointing 2008-2009 campaign.

Bulgarian manager Stoycho Mladenov will also leave the club, as well as all foreign-based players, including Soliman.

Ahli finished third in the Saudi Premier League this season as they failed to win any domestic titles for the second year running.

Soliman, who made a remarkable start to the season with Petrojet, couldn’t live up to the expectations with Ahli as he scored once since joining the club in January.

The Egypt international recently declared that playing out of position was the main reason behind his below-par performances with the Gulf giants.
