Ahli defender Shadi Mohamed has been named in the team's squad for their CAF Champions League match against Kano Pillars on Saturday, while Osama Hosni has been left out.

Skipper Shadi was doubtful for the game, but he has finally overcome the groin problem that kept him on the sidelines for more than a couple of weeks.

The 32-year-old picked up the injury on April 18th in training to miss the first leg, which took place one day later.

He also took no part in Ahli's last two Egyptian Premier League matches with Zamalek and ENPPI.

Ahli will be without veteran defender Wael Gomaa, who will miss the game due to a hamstring problem.

Striker Hosni was also ommitted from the squad for technical reasons, while Ahmed Belal was included in the 18-man list for the first time in several weeks.

A win or a goalless draw would be enough for defending champions Ahli to qualify for the next round, as the first leg ended in a 1-1 draw in Nigeria.

Ahli's squad:

Goalkeepers: Ramzi Saleh – Ahmed Adel Abdul-Monem

Defenders: Shadi Mohamed– Ahmed Al-Sayed – Mohamed Samir – Sayed Moawad – Gilberto – Ahmed Fathi – Ahmed Sedik – Ahmed Ali.

Midfielders: Hossam Ashour – Moataz Eno – Mohamed Barakat – Ahmed Hassan – Mohamed Abou-Treika.

Strikers: Amado Flavio – Ahmed Belal – Hani Al-Egeizi.
