The classy playmaker has yet to regain top form since recovering from an ankle injury last month.
A succession of injuries blighted his displays throughout the season but head coach Manuel Jose can not afford to rest him at such crucial stage of the season.
"We have no other choice because we are in a fierce battle to win the league title," Al-Badri told reporters after Ahli snatched a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Tersana on Thursday.
"Yes he has fitness problems but we are satisfied with his current performances."
Abou-Treika was not at his best against Tersana but still managed to convert a penalty and set-up Flavio for another goal as Ahli moved level on points with Ismaili at the summit.
He took his tally to nine league goals so far this season.
But the Red Devils, who also leaked two goals against ENPPI, failed to keep a clean sheet for the second successive game.
"The players are nervous, that's why we concede many goals. We do have defensive problems," Al-Badri admitted.
"Anyway, our overall performance is gradually getting better."
Ahli will be desperate to claim a fifth consecutive league title after suffering a stunning Champions League elimination from the last 16 round at the hands of Nigeria's Kano Pillars.
They are joint leaders with rivals Ismaili on 57 points with two matches to go.
A playoff match will determine the league winner if Ahli and Ismaili finish level on points.
