French superstar Franck Ribery seems to be heading out of the Allianz Arena and the Bavarians are keen to replace the ex-Marseille man with a top class playmaker.
It has been reported that Werder Bremen's Diego has all but joined Juventus, but Hoeness is convinced that the Brazilian wants to join Bayern.
"I know that Diego wants to come to Bayern," Hoeness was quoted as saying by Abendzeitung.
Hoeness added that if Bayern change their mind about signing Diego, Byelorussian winger Hleb will be brought from Barcelona instead.
"If we miss out on him then we will have Alexander Hleb from Barca. As far as we are concerned, we can have him when we want."
Diego has been setting the Bundesliga alight since joining Bremen from Porto in 2006.
On the other hand, former Stuttgart man Hleb hasn’t been able to secure a regular spot at Barca since he moved to Nou Camp in the summer from Arsenal.
