Milan's loss to Udinese on Saturday meant that Inter Milan officially won the scudetto, and Rossoneri chairman Silvio Berlusconi blamed Ancelotti for losing the title.
"I want to stay, but I won’t stay where I’m not wanted. As the saying goes, you can’t go against the Saints. This is why I am waiting to talk to the Saint, and then we’ll see," Ancelotti said.
The former Juventus and Parma coach's future has been recently in doubt, after he was linked with a possible switch to Chelsea.
"I won’t say no, but only because Chelsea are not in my future.
"But I have not yet decided what I will do next season. Right now I am only focused on next week’s game with Roma," he added.
With two games to go against Roma and Fiorentina, Milan will be fighting for the second spot in the table as they four points ahead of third-placed Juve, who will face Atalanta on Sunday.
Ancelotti has won a number of local and continental trophies with Milan since he took over the club in 2001.
Under his guidance, the club were twice crowned UEFA Champions League winners and once Serie A, Coppa Italia and World champions.
