صراع جديد بين أبو جريشة وجمعة

The Egyptian FA suggested to hold the potential Egyptian Premier League decider between Ismaili and Ahli on June 10th, but the Red Devils raised strong objection, FilGoal.com understands.

The match date was proposed upon the request of Egypt coach Hassan Shehata, who urged the FA not to hold any competitive matches after the league final round that will end on May 21st.

Former Zamalek star Shehata is aiming to allow the internationals from Ahli and Zamalek to have enough rest before joining Egypt's training camp ahead of the upcoming qualifier with Algeria.

But Ahli rejected the suggested date, as they are keen to play the decisive match under the management of head coach Manuel Jose.

The Portuguese tactician is bound to take over the Angolan national side by the end of the season, and will be leaving by next month.

For this reason, a new dispute between the Cairo giants and the FA will occur if the league title keeps hanging in the balance beyond the final round.

However, there will be no dilemma if either Ahli or Ismaili clinch the silverware this week.

The two clubs are tied on top of the table with 67 points each, and they will meet in a league play-off if they win their final league games on Wednesday.

Earlier on Sunday, FA president Samir Zaher said the potential decider will be scheduled upon the recommendations of Egypt's technical staff.

Algeria will host the Pharaohs on June 7th, and Shehata's men will take part in a seven-day preparatory camp starting the 25th of May.
