Petrojet playmaker Walid Soliman revealed that Belgian outfit Tubize, who were recently relegated to the second division, have made overtures to acquire his services in the summer.

The 25-year-old played for Ahli Jeddah on a half-season-long loan deal, after spending the first half of the term with the petroleum club.

His displays drew the attention of several clubs, and he's likely to seal a move at the end of the ongoing season.

"The Belgian side sent a letter to Pertojet, asking them to sign me for $ 900,000," in-form midfielder Soliman told FilGoal.com.

"This is an initial bid, and they (Tubize) might increase it after the negotiations."

Soliman, who still have three years left on his contract, assured that he's going to travel to Belgium soon in order to have a trial at the second tier.

Tubize have waved goodbye to the first division after finishing the season in penultimate place, to end their Jupiler League adventure at a low ebb.

The club were founded in 1989, and they earned their first top-flight promotion last season.

On the Way

On the other hand, Petrojet football director Mounir Kamal said he hasn't been informed of the alleged bid.

"I have no idea of Tubize's interest in Soliman; I guess their letter is still on the way," he stated.

"In principle, we want to keep hold of him, but we will make our decision after receiving the offer.

"We didn't want to loan him (Soliman) this season either, but (Saudi Arabia's) Ahli made a lucrative offer at the time and we accepted it."

Part-exchange Deal

Conversely, assistant coach Hani Al-Okabi stated earlier in May the technical staff does not oppose Soliman's departure.

Al-Okabi's statements came shortly after Egyptian champions Ahli announced their interest in the talented schemer.

The Red Devils offered Petrojet a part-exchange deal that would see two players from the Cairo giants head in the opposite direction.

Mokhtar Mokhtar's side were given the choice among Rami Adel, Ahmed Farag and Hussein Ali, but Petrojet have been seeking to get all three players and EGP 1million in return for Soliman.
