The English FA has cleared Arsenal ace Cesc Fabregas of two charges of improper conduct.

The Spanish midfielder was charged after the Gunners' 2-1 FA Cup quarter-final win over Hull City on March 17th at Emirates Stadium.

Fabregas, who was not named in the squad due to a knee injury, allegedly stepped onto the pitch after the final whistle to launch into an altercation with Hull assistant manager Brian Horton.

It was also claimed the 22-year-old international spat at Horton while arguing with him.

But eventually both charges 'were found not proved'.

"The FA can confirm that, at a regulatory commission hearing, two charges of improper conduct against Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas were found not proved," an FA statement reads.

"The charges related to Fabregas's conduct following the FA Cup match between Arsenal and Hull at the Emirates Stadium on 17 March.

"One charge concerned his conduct after coming onto the pitch following the final whistle. The second charge related to an allegation of spitting."

Neither referee Mike Riley nor the other match officials mentioned the incident in their report, and thus the accusations dropped.

Hull boss Phil Brown, who claimed that Fabregas flew off the handle in the FA Cup match, was also charged by the FA following his spat with the referee, and was summoned to a personal hearing.
