Bundesliga champions VFL Wolfsburg have chosen Armin Veh to take over the team starting next season.

The Wolves were briefly looking for a new coach after Felix Magath, who led them to their first ever Bundesliga title this season, said that he will quit the club for Schalke.

Club chairman Hans-Dieter Poetsch told ZDF channel that Veh will be Wolfsburg's next coach.

Veh previously coached Hansa Rostock and Augsburg before guiding VFB Stuttgart to their fifth league trophy in 2007.

However, the 48-year-old has been out of work since he was sacked by Stuttgart in November 2008 following a massive drop of results.
