The Dutchman signed a three-year deal with the Amsterdam giants after just one season at Nordbank Arena.

The former Tottenham boss succeeds Holland legend Marco van Basten, who resigned from his Ajax role earlier this month.
Jol led Hamburg the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup this season as well as a fifth-place finish in the Bundesliga.
