"Bordeaux and Yoann Gourcuff are happy to announce that they have signed a four-year deal," the French league chasers said on their official website.
Gourcuff is spending the current season on loan at Bordeaux from Milan, and the 22-year-old is delighted to have extended his stay with Laurent Blanc's men.
"I am very happy to continue my adventure that I started with the Girondins de Bordeaux," the former Rennes man said.
"I had been thinking about this decision all season and we have created an agreement that suits all parties.
An impressive campaign with Rennes in 2006 earned Gourcuff a dream move to San Siro.
However, he couldn’t force his way through Carlo Ancelotti's team until the club board decided to loan him out to Bordeaux.
The move proved successful as Gourcuff's 12 goals so far in the season are putting Bordeaux on course to winning their first French league title ten years.
He was recently named as Ligue 1 player of the year.
