Senna out for Spain, Cazorla makes squad

Villarreal skipper Marcos Senna couldn’t make Spain's Confederations Cup squad due to injury, but club mate Santi Cazorla was included.<br>

Villarreal skipper Marcos Senna couldn’t make Spain's Confederations Cup squad due to injury, but club mate Santi Cazorla was included.

Senna, who has been influential for Spain in last year's EURO 2008 triumph, is struggling with a hamstring injury and Barcelona youngster Sergio Busquests was called to replace him.

Winger Cazorla was surprisingly included, even though the Villarreal ace is yet to play since almost two months, following a fractured fibula injury.

Barcelona duo Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique were selected despite their respective injury problems of late.

Spain Squad:

Goalkeepers: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), Pepe Reina (Liverpool), Diego Lopez (Villarreal).

Defenders: Raul Albiol (Valencia), Alvaro Arbeloa (Liverpool), Joan Capdevila (Villarreal), Carlos Marchena (Valencia), Gerard Pique (Barcelona), Carles Puyol (Barcelona) Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid).

Midfielders: Xabi Alonso (Liverpool), Sergio Busquets (Barcelona), Santi Cazorla (Villarreal), Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal), Xavi (Barcelona), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona), David Silva (Valencia), Juan Mata (Valencia), Albert Riera (Liverpool).

Strikers: David Villa (Valencia), Daniel Guiza (Fenerbahce), Fernando Torres (Liverpool), Fernando Llorente (Athletic Bilbao).
