Asyut Petroleum name successor for Amer

Gamal Mohamed Ali was named new coach of Asyut Petroleum, following the departure of Mohamed Amer last month.<br>

Gamal Mohamed Ali was named new coach of Asyut Petroleum, following the departure of Mohamed Amer last month.

"We have appointed Ali as head coach for the next season and youth team coach Adel Khalil will assist him," Petroleum chairman Mohamed Shoeib told FilGoal.com.

Ali was in charge of Asyut Cement in the 2005-2006 season, which saw them relegated to the second division ever since.

Coach Amer left Petroleum for Arab Contractors last week, after he helped the former secure a top-flight place next season.
