"I am not in touch with anyone from Chelsea Football Club, and I could imagine staying on as a player of Werder Bremen," the former Bayern Munich told Bild.
The 30-year-old moved to Chelsea on a free transfer in 2007, but he failed to establish himself as a starter at Stamford Bridge.
However, he rediscovered his form upon re-joining Bremen last summer.
He scored 17 Bundesliga goals and helped Thomas Schaaf's men reach the UEFA Cup final as well as win the German Cup.
Pizzaro started his European career with Bremen, when he played for the club between 1999 and 2001 before signing for Bayern.
"We'd surely keep Pizzaro if there is a concrete plan of how to fund his stay is brought to us by manager Klaus Allofs," Werder head of board of directors Willi Lemke said.
