"Hassan is our first signing for next season," Ittihad treasurer Ahmed Fouad told FilGoal.com.
"There are some financial details that will be sorted out with Hassan in the coming few days regarding his salary requests."
The 29-year-old was expected to join Petrojet but he eventually opted to move to Ittihad, who finished 11th in the 16-team Egyptian league table in the recently-ended season.
Hassan joined Zamalek from ENPPI in the summer of 2006 but rarely impressed.
He was involved in several disputes with the club's board, most notably when he threw the team's shirt onto the ground in a league game in December 2007.
This season, Hassan was outshone by promising youngster Sabri Rahil, who became Zamalek's regular left-back in the second half of the season.
