"There is no enquiry on the table regarding Mesut Ozil," Bremen general director Klaus Allofs told German daily Bild.

"We are currently in talks with him regarding a contract extension."

The likes of Manchester City and Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Ozil, who put in a series of impressive displays in the recently-ended season.

The 20-year-old scored Bremen's winner in the German Cup final against Bayer Leverkusen.

He also played a pivotal role in helping Thomas Schaaf's side reach the UEFA Cup final before losing to Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk.

"When there is a player scoring the winning goal in the cup final, who also appears in the UEFA Cup final, then it is quite a normal fact almost everyone is casting an eye over his abilities," Allofs added.
