English Premiership club Blackburn Rovers have approached Borussia Dortmund regarding the purchase of Egyptian striker Mohamed Zidan.

According to German magazine Bild, Blackburn want to sign the former Hamburg and Werder Bremen man for seven million Euros.

Zidan, who only joined Dortmund last summer, scored six Bundesliga goals after spending most of the season on the Black Yellows' bench.

The 27-year-old recently excelled for Egypt by scoring twice against Brazil in the Pharaohs' 4-3 loss to the five-time world champions in the Confederations Cup.
