The former Ahli man, whose contract with Hodoud was going to expire this summer, confirmed that he wants to stay and win another title with the club next season.
Al-Shater helped Tarek Al-Ashri's men win their first ever Egyptian Cup trophy last season.
In the meantime, Al-Ashri informed striker Abdul-Hamid Bassiouni and midfielder Amr Al-Dali that they are no longer needed at the club.
Al-Ashri offered the pair positions within the club's youth sector but the latter confirmed that he won't quit football even if he's not wanted at Hodoud.
Hodoud started their pre-season training camp on Wednesday, where the club will play two friendly games in ten days.
