Brazil full-back Maicon has threatened to quit Inter Milan if he felt he can't win the UEFA Champions League with the Nerazzurri.

"Inter have to think big. I want to win the Champions League because it is an important trophy for a player’s career," Maicon told reporters from Brazil's Confederations Cup camp in South Africa.

"If I can win it with Inter, fine. Otherwise it’ll be necessary to consider going elsewhere to try to win it."

Maicon has already implied that he is unhappy at Inter, claiming recently that he gets an indifferent treatment at San Siro.

The 28-year-old is reportedly linked with Real Madrid, who are looking to bolster their squad with some world class players this summer.
