Egypt goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadari is hoping that his heroic display against Italy in the Confederations Cup can secure him a move to the Italian Serie A.

"I hope that I have been be noticed by someone in Italy, because it is my dream to play in Serie A," the 36-year-old was quoted as saying by Tuttosport.

The former Ahli guardian kept out no less than four golden opportunities during the Pharaoh's 1-0 over the world champions on Thursday.

Al-Hadari's agent echoed his client's comments, confirming that the guardian is good enough to shine in the Italian league.

"Al-Hadari is the best in the world. The world champions saw what he can do first hand and now it is time for him to demonstrate in a top flight league." The player's agent said.

"Italy is his first choice. If, for example, Mourinho decided to take him as the reserve keeper at Inter, I'm sure he'd eventually oust Julio Cesar for a place between the sticks.

Al-Hadari is currently contracted to FC Sion. However, a move away from the Swiss club could be hindered by a suspension FIFA imposed on him.

The four-month suspension was issued against the player after he left Ahli for Sion without the Egyptian club's consent in February 2008.
