Two challengers will oppose Ahli's incumbent chairman Hassan Hamdi in the club's presidential elections next month.

Mohamed Thabet Fadlallah and Ayman Youssef stood in the election for the next Ahli chairman before Sunday's deadline.

Hamdi is highly unlikely to face stiff competition from the duo, who are relatively unknown figures within the club.

Should he win the election, Hamdi will remain in office for the third successive term, having occupied the prestigious seat in 2001 following the death of Ahli legend Saleh Selim.

The Egyptian champions enjoyed great success under the 59-year-old's guidance, winning a host of local and continental titles.

He also adopted a strict disciplinary system which is widely praised by local media.
