The AS Roma man will be sidelined for a week due to a minor muscle injury in his left leg, Jose Luis Runco said on the Brazilian Football Confederation's website.

Juan will miss Thursday's game against South Africa in the tournament's semi-final and will also miss Sunday's final if Brazil overcome the Bafana Bafana.

The 30-year-old scored Brazil's third goal in their thrilling 4-3 victory over African champions Egypt.

He missed Brazil's 3-0 victory over the United States after picking up the injury and was substituted during the first half of the 3-0 win over Italy for the same reason.
