Mostafa could join Police again
Ahli have announced that midfielder Hassan Mostafa is free to leave the club, one year before the end of his contract.

"The football committee has allowed Hassan Mostafa to leave and the player is now free to join another club," a statement on Ahli's website read.

Mostafa spent most of last season on loan at Police Union and he is likely to rejoin the Cairo side, who have already signed Ahmed Hassan Farag from Ahli.

During the past few seasons, Mostafa struggled to win a regular place under Manuel Jose, even though he excelled after returning to the Reds in 2004-2005.

The 30-year-old, who emerged from Ahli's youth academy before joining Ittihad, also had a successful loan spell with Saudi Arabia's Wehda last term.

He was part of the Egypt squad that won the 2006 African Cup of Nations on home soil, but his international career was hampered recently.
