Argentinean striker Tevez turned down United's offer to extend his stay while Portuguese winger Ronaldo agreed a deal to join Spanish giants Real Madrid.
France and Lyon ace Benzema has been recently linked with a good number of European big guns, including Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Barcelona and United.
"(United coach) AlexFerguson wants Karim this summer, however his transfer fee will not be over 40million euros," agent Karim Djaziri told Europe1.
"He is only 21-years-old, the only time a transfer of a 21-year-old went so high it was the Robinho transfer to Real Madrid.
"Karim can't be more valued than David Villa, who will cost more than 40million euros.
"The question is not if he will sign for one of the big clubs, but when."
Lyon are eager to keep hold of the talented hitman for another season.
Previously, Djaziri stated that Benzema wanted to stay at the Ligue 1 side for another year, so as he could prepare for the 2010 World Cup.
