Mainz's newly-signed striker Gamal Hamza scored his maiden goal with the Bundesliga club upon making his first appearance in a friendly game against Budenheim.

The match was held as part of both sides' preperations for next season, and Mainz eased to a 10-1 victory over their lowly opponents.

Former Egypt man Hamza was introduced as a second-half substitute, and he notched the ninth goal for Christian Heidel's team on 83 minutes.

The 28-year-old signed a two-year contract with Mainz this summer, after his deal with Zamalek expired.

Hamza is the second Egyptian player to join Mainz, as Mohamed Zidan had a fruitful loan spell at Stadion am Bruchweg in 2007.
