Bayern Munich ace Franck Ribery reverted on his recent comments that he wants to leave Allianz Arena, amid strong interest from Real Madrid.

The French wizard was quoted by L'Equipe as saying that he 'wants to leave Bayern for Real' last week.

However, he denied that he wants to leave the Bavarian giants as he implied that his quotes were misinterpreted.

"I feel misunderstood, I never said I desperately want a transfer to happen, "Ribery told Munich-based tz.

"They were not my words and I don't understand the public discussion that has occurred.

"I do not want to be in disagreement with Bayern Munich. I would really like to resolve things.

"We do have to wait if there is an offer coming and then sit down and talk. I do not want to say anything wrong right now."

Ribery has been tipped to leave Bayern since last summer, but the Bundesliga giants have persistently said he is not for sale.
