Valencia chairman Vicente Soriano stated that the Primera Liga club have bypassed their financial crisis and are in no need to sell their star players.

Los Ches were facing serious liquidity problems by the end of last season and were on brink of sacrificing top players like David Villa and David Silva.

But Soriano revealed that Inversiones Dalport SA investment group is set to buy the club for €500,000million.

"We will not be obliged to sell," Soriano told the Spanish media.

"The grand Valencia project was held up by the economic crisis. The club had a serious liquidity problem which paralyzed its plan for growth.

"The very existence of Valencia was under threat but this is no longer the case."
