The Cairo club are holding a training camp in Switzerland, where they were battered by the French Ligue 1 side.
Michel Decastel's men failed to pose any threat on their opponents throughout the game apart from one header by substitute Sherif Ashraf.
However, Youssef is convinced that Zamalek's lackluster display is not worrying at all.
"It's just a friendly game, so the result doesn't really matter," he told Zamalek's official website.
"When you play an exhibition match, your only purpose is to put the players through their paces and prepare them for next season.
"The loss to Sochaux is justified; the game took place only one day after Zamalek's contingent arrival. The players were jet-lagged and didn't have enough time to rest.
"The first half didn't witness any goals, but after the interval two defensive blunders and a controversial penalty kick caused Zamalek to concede three goals.
"I'm sure the technical staff will work on all the problems in the team."
Zamalek meet UEFA Cup champions Shakhtar Donetsk in another friendly on Sunday.
