Egyptian champions Ahli were targeting the 27-year-old, who had an average spell with the Saudi side last term, but it turned out that Nasr intend to hold onto him.

"Hossam Ghaly will stay with us," Bin Turk told a press conference, which was held to unveil the signing of South Korean striker Lee Chun Soo.

Ghaly, who came through Ahli's youth ranks, moved to Nasr from Tottenham Hotspur last winter on a three-year deal.
