Al-Sadat and Abdul-Salam already started their campaigns for the upcoming elections. However, they were banned by NSC on Tuesday due to their poor criminal records.
Hisham Al-Turki and Sayed Al-Thaalabi, who were both running for a place in the new board, were also banned by NSC for similar reasons.
In the meantime, Al-Sadat told FilGoal.com that he received no official statements confirming his suspension by NSC.
The former coastal club chairman added that he will resume his campaign as previously planned until further notice.
Apart from Al-Sadat and Abdul-Salam, current president Mohamed Moselhi was the only candidate running for the chairman seat.
Moselhi will remain in his position in case the suspended pair fails to appeal the NSC's decision.
Ittihad's elections are scheduled to be held on August 7th.
