Borussia Dortmund striker Mohamed Zidan didn’t take part in his teams' pre-season friendly games against SC Pfullendorf and Nurnberg.

The Egypt man, who was late for his club's summer camp after playing for the Pharaohs in the Confederations Cup and against Rwanda, is yet to play for Dortmund this summer.

The two friendlies were held on Thursday as each lasted 45 minutes.

Kevin Grosskreutz scored the winner for Dortmund against Nurnberg, while Jurgen Kloppe's men could only draw 0-0 with Pfullendorf.

In the meantime, Zidan was praised by Dortmund defender Mats Hummels, who said that the 27-year-old is technically gifted.

"Zidan is superb when it comes to skills and one on one situations," the 20-year-old said.

"He (Zidan) caught some interest from other clubs after doing well for Egypt in the Confederations Cup, but I still expect him to stay with Dortmund next season."
