Egyptian champions Ahli reiterated that goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadari would not be allowed to return to the club he left last year.

Al-Hadari moved to Swiss side Sion in February 2008 without Ahli's consent to incur the wrath of the club's officials and fans.

The Egypt goalie, once branded the High Dam by the Red Devils' supporters, regretted his decision and said on numerous occasions that he would like to rejoin the club.

Rumors indicated that Ahli's stance has become lenient and that they might agree to bring Al-Hadari back to Cairo.

But this is not true, Ahli vice-president Mahmoud Al-Khatib insisted.

"The club did not even discuss such a possibility," he told Al-Hayat TV on Friday, echoing similar comments made by Ahli chairman Hassan Hamdi earlier this month.

"We won't discuss it either, Al-Hadari will not return to Ahli. We are just pursuing our legal rights."

The 36-year-old was initially handed a four-month ban by FIFA's Dispute Resolution Chamber, which was due to begin in August.

However, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) froze the decision upon Al-Hadari's appeal.
