The 29-year-old moved to the Serie A side a year ago on a permanent deal from Newcastle United, where he had an abysmal stint.

According to Hamburg spokesman Jorn Wolf, the Rothosen and Lazio are still working out the details of the deal.

"We are in contact with Lazio and the player, but there are still a few things to resolve," Wolf told Kicker magazine.

Rozehnal has featured for Czech Republic in 56 matches, and is said to be valued at the area of €4 million.
