Zamalek have decided to give Brazilian striker Anderson one last chance to prove his worth before the start of the season.

The Cairo giants signed Anderson on a free transfer after his contract with Brazilian third-division side Rio Branco de Andradas expired.

However, he failed to impress coach Michel Decastel, who reportedly asked Zamalek board to offload him.

But he still has a chance to win over the Swiss tactician, according to Zamalek executive committee member Ahmed Galal.

"The upcoming pre-season friendlies will determine Anderson's fate. He has to show that he is good enough to play for Zamalek," Galal told FilGoal.com.

Decastel has already brought in Sayed Mosaad from Qanah and Ahmed Gaafar from Telecom Egypt to strengthen the White Knights' frontline.

But with Abdul-Halim Ali's retirement and the uncertain future of Amr Zaki, who is linked with a move to Spain's Malaga, Decastel is looking to sign a high-profile frontman.
