Barcelona said they have agreed terms with Inter Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to sign him, few hours after Samuel Eto'o agreed to move in the opposite direction.

"There are agreements in principle with the player and with Inter and the documents are being drawn up," Barcelona sporting director Txiki Begiristain told the club's TV channel.

"The club is working hard to finalize the agreements as soon as possible to be able to present him (Ibrahimovic) as soon as possible. It could be Monday."

Eto'o's agent revealed on Thursday that the Cameroon striker agreed personal terms with Italian champions Inter as a swap deal nears completion.

Primera Liga winners Barca will reportedly pay Inter €40 million plus Eto'o to land Swedish marksman Ibrahimovic.

The Catalans' Belarusian midfielder Aleksandr Hleb could also join Inter as part of the deal, according to media reports.
