Foreign-based trio named for Guinea friendly

Egypt coach Hassan Shehata has called-up three foreign-based players for the Guinea friendly which will be held in Cairo on August 12th.

The Egyptian FA announced that Borussia Dortmund striker Mohamed Zidan, Middlesbrough midfielder Mohamed Shawky and Hosni Abd-Rabou of Ahli Dubai were named by the Master.

The squad witnesses the absence of Middlesbrough striker Mido, whose last game for Egypt was against Zambia in March.

Shehata will name the rest of his squad after the first round of the Egyptian Premier League, which will be played on August 6th and 7th.

The Guinea game will be part of the Pharaohs' preparations for the World Cup qualifier against Rwanda in September.

Egypt are currently second of qualifications Group C with four points from three games, three points behind leaders Algeria.
