Middlesbrough outcast Mido said he is ready to give up his hefty salary in England to return to Zamalek this summer.

A season-long loan to Zamalek was reportedly suggested of late for the Egypt striker, who is eager to play regular football.

"Zamalek have officially spoken to Middlesbrough and I have no problem going back to Egypt," Mido said in Modern TV.

"Of course my wages are too heavy bear for Zamalek, but I am ready to give up some money and I think it won't be a problem."

Mido has been poised to leave the Riverside after Boro were relegated last season, not to mention his lack of first team football.

The 26-year-old was once again overlooked by Egypt coach Hassan Shehata ahead of the friendly game with Guinea next month.
