Pirlo has told his teammates that last Sunday's friendly game against Inter Milan was his last one with the Rossoneri, Corriere dello Sport reported.
The paper also said that Chelsea would pay Milan £21 million plus striker Claudio Pizarro to sign the Italy midfielder.
The news could boost Milan's Brazilian coach Leonardo, who has been seeking to sign a new frontman in the close season.
If Pirlo seals a move to Chelsea, he will be reunited with former Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti, who brought him to the San Siro in 2001.
