Barcelona forward Thierry Henry will play no part in France's World Cup qualifier with Faroe Islands on Wednesday.

The French football federation confirmed Henry's absence as Barcelona have announced that the 30-year-old has an Achilles tendon problem.

Henry played in Barca's 1-1 draw with Mexico's Guadalajara on Saturday, which marked the Catalans' final US tour game.

Bayern Munich ace Franck Ribery could feature in the game in Torshavn, where Les Bleus are expected to round off an easy win.
